Traditional Lutheran Worship

These services are liturgical in style offering hymns accompanied by organ, piano and instrumental or choral music.

Contemporary Worship

This service is informal in style with some liturgy. Worship teams, Salterior Votive and Centrally Dislocated, lead the congregation in the singing of contemporary, “gospel” and/or bluegrass music. These styles are used the second and fifth weekends of every month.

Midweek Holy Communion Service

This is a 20-30 minute Responsive Prayer service with Holy Communion. Wednesday at 7:00am

“The Bridge” Worship Service

This is a very casual, very simple worship service featuring piano and guitar music and singing, Bible exploration and discussion, and Holy Communion. Every other Sunday evening 6:00 pm

Holy Communion is Offered at Every Worship Service.

We invite all the baptized who seek God’s presence in the bread and wine to share this meal with us. We offer grape juice as an alternative to the wine. The wine is poured at the communion rail into the individual pewter cups received from the usher. The grape juice is pre-poured in the pewter cups available from the usher. Gluten-free wafers are also available. When at the communion rail, please indicate this need to the pastor. Holy Communion is occasionally served by means of “Intinction”. Individuals simply dip the bread into a pewter chalice containing wine or a glass chalice containing grape juice. Baptized children are welcome to receive the meal. They should indicate this by holding out their hands to receive the bread while kneeling at the communion rail. Children not receiving Holy Communion should also kneel at the rail, but keep their hands folded beneath the rail. They will receive a blessing.

Children and Worship

Children are welcome participants in the worship service. For those times when it is necessary a nursery is provided for children, 9:00-11:30 am on Sundays. Ask the ushers for assistance in locating the nursery. A “Comfort” room is also available, located at the rear of the sanctuary and provided with a rocker, changing table and space for children to stretch and move around in. Activity bags are available at the entrances.
